KSEDO CHILD SPONSORSHIP THEM OF AGREEMENT

We are KSEDO wish to thank your choosing a child sponsor project at our orphanage.  Your sponsoring enables us to provide a safe, positive living and learning environment with appropriate schooling, monitoring, with the goal of attaining skills for future satisfying work.

This agreement can be cancelled at any time. It helps us if you advise us early if you need to end this agreement. Despite our efforts, sometimes kids are forced to leave KSEDO by relatives wanting them to beg, or work in the village. This is usually accepted by most donors who then choose to sponsor another child. The children are for now and hopefully for many years, lucky enough to be allowed a safe and near-normal childhood here at KSEDO.

The children have some family somewhere who will not allow them to be adopted.  Gifts/supplies for only one child may be very needed and appropriate. If not done in a balanced way, this could cause problems between other children. Please discuss your gift ideas with us.

With your financial contributions, you can expect KSEDO to do the following for your sponsored child: School/learning

·         Children attend school regularly and have the learning ‘tools’ they need

·         Children have a caring adult who supports their learning and completing homework

·         Children have frequent checks on their learning progress

·         Children are encouraged to explore learning income-producing skills of their interest for their future life

Nutrition and Hygiene:

·         Children are provided nutritious meals and expected to eat well

·         Children maintain good personal hygiene and wear clean clothing

General needs:

·         Children are given loving caring, and treated with respect

·         Children are provided adequate clothing in good repair

·         Children’s immediate health and dental needs are met; with planning for other problems resolution

·         Children’s religion is respected and practiced as is normal for the culture utilizing good role model teachers

·         Children are expected to participate in extracurricular activities in a manner they enjoy

·         Children are kept safe from abuse/violence in the home, at school, during travel, and at all times

·         All adults involved with the children will adhere to K ‘child safe’ (from abuse) practices

·         All children need to learning life skill(Khmer Traditional Dancing and other skill)

KSEDO also commits to the following:

·         Utilize all funds in a transparent and legal manner using good accounting practices

·         Striving for the most economical use of funds, and the best practices in operations

·         Several times/year you will receive a status report and photo of your sponsored child

·         Your personal information will be kept confidential unless you give permission for its use

·         We endeavor to assist the children to share their progress with you periodically by email
